Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions and Interpretation

 1.1 Definitions

Additional Charge means: (a) Fees for extra work requested by the Customer or required due to the Customer’s actions; and (b) Expenses incurred by Tron Computer Repairs at the Customer’s request or as reasonably required.

  • Business Day means a day that is not a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday in Tasmania.

  • Customer means the person or business engaging Tron Computer Repairs for Goods or Services.

  • Goods means any hardware, software, or equipment supplied by Tron Computer Repairs.

  • Intellectual Property Rights means rights in software, designs, documentation, and materials.

  • Loss includes costs, expenses, lost profits, damages, personal injury, or property damage.

  • Order means a request for Goods or Services made by a Customer, based on a Quote or agreement.

  • Payment Terms means payment is due on the day of service, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Quote means a written or electronic estimate provided for Goods or Services.

  • Services means technical support, computer/laptop repairs, data recovery, installation, consulting, or related IT services provided by Tron Computer Repairs.

  • Supplier means Tron Computer Repairs (ABN: 23 920 359 755), including its employees, contractors, and assigns.

1.2 Interpretation

  • References to writing include email and electronic communication.

  • The singular includes the plural and vice versa.

  • Headings are for reference only and do not affect interpretation.

2. General

(a) These Terms apply to all transactions between Tron Computer Repairs and the Customer.
(b) Any variations must be in writing and agreed by both parties.
(c) Tron Computer Repairs may amend a Quote prior to an Order being confirmed.

3. Quotes

(a) Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless stated otherwise.
(b) Prices may vary if hardware/software costs change.
(c) Work will not commence until the Customer accepts the Quote.

4. Variations

(a) Any variations must be agreed in writing.
(b) Tron Computer Repairs may revise Quotes if extra work or parts are required.

5. Invoicing and Payment

(a) Invoices may be issued: (i) Prior to work; (ii) On the day of service; or (iii) On delivery of Goods.
(b) Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due in full on the day of service.
(c) Late or overdue payments may result in suspension of work, a 10% p.a. interest charge, and recovery costs.
(d) Tron Computer Repairs reserves the right to request deposits before ordering parts or commencing work.
(e) Any invoice disputes must be raised within 7 days.

6. Additional Charges

(a) Additional Charges may apply for:

  • Urgent or after-hours services.

  • Data recovery attempts requiring specialist equipment or software.

  • Hardware or software ordered specifically for the Customer.

  • Work delays caused by lack of access, Customer error, or missing information.

7. Acceptance of Goods and Services

(a) Goods and Services are deemed accepted unless issues are raised within 72 hours of completion/delivery.
(b) Tron Computer Repairs will attempt to rectify valid issues within a reasonable time, subject to parts and availability.

8. Title and Risk

(a) Risk in Goods passes to the Customer upon delivery or installation.
(b) Ownership remains with Tron Computer Repairs until full payment is received.
(c) Tron Computer Repairs may recover unpaid Goods.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

(a) Tron Computer Repairs retains intellectual property in any software, documentation, or materials created.
(b) Customers are granted a non-exclusive license to use such materials after full payment.
(c) Customers must not copy, modify, or distribute Supplier IP without consent.

10. Subcontractors and Assignment

(a) Tron Computer Repairs may engage subcontractors where necessary.
(b) Customers may not assign rights under these Terms without written consent.

11. Default by Customer

(a) A Customer is in default if they fail to pay on time, breach these Terms, or become insolvent.
(b) Tron Computer Repairs may suspend services, terminate agreements, and recover unpaid Goods.

12. Termination

(a) Either party may terminate with 14 days’ written notice.
(b) Termination does not remove the obligation to pay outstanding invoices.

13. Limitation of Liability

(a) Tron Computer Repairs is not liable for direct, indirect or consequential loss, including data loss.
(b) Customers are responsible for ensuring their data is backed up prior to service.
(c) Tron Computer Repairs is not responsible for delays caused by third-party suppliers, software, or hardware failures.

14. Indemnity

(a) Customers indemnify Tron Computer Repairs against claims or losses from misuse of Goods or Services.

15. Warranties and Guarantees

(a) Workmanship is guaranteed for 30 days from completion, excluding issues caused by misuse, third-party interference, or unrelated faults.
(b) Manufacturer warranties for hardware/software are passed on where available.
(c) No guarantee is given for data recovery success or repair of devices with pre-existing damage.

16. Site Access and Safety

(a) Customers must provide safe and timely access to equipment or premises.
(b) Tron Computer Repairs is not liable for delays caused by access restrictions or unsafe conditions.

17. Cancellation Policy

(a) Cancellation within 24 hours of a confirmed booking may incur a call-out or cancellation fee.
(b) Rescheduling is subject to availability.

18. Insurance

(a) Tron Computer Repairs maintains public liability insurance.
(b) Customers are responsible for insuring their own property and data.

19. Dispute Resolution

(a) Parties must attempt to resolve disputes through discussion or mediation before legal proceedings.
(b) Disputes will be governed by Tasmanian law.

20. Miscellaneous

(a) These Terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania.
(b) If any clause is invalid, the remainder of these Terms remains enforceable.
(c) Notices and communications may be sent by email or post.

By engaging Tron Computer Repairs for services, the Customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

21. Acceptance of Policies


The Customer acknowledges and agrees to be bound by the Supplier’s Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, as published on the Supplier’s website (or otherwise provided to the Customer). These policies form part of these Terms and Conditions.
